Okay, yeah, this sucks. I'll admit it, okay? I hate that nobody ever wants to... no, y'know what? Forget people not ever wanting to do anything, people don't even hardly know I'm there unless I say something. It blows and I hate it and I'm... lonely. Okay? I said it, are you all happy now?

Date: 2011-07-23 09:47 pm (UTC)When the City turned into Heaven and Hell. My mom showed up once like that though but it wasn't a projection-ghost thing. More just her voice, calling me over and over like she was lost.
So what's the best thing?

Date: 2011-07-23 10:08 pm (UTC)[He relaxes now, because this is a more pleasant question to think about.]
Most of it's been good actually. People complain about being here but I think it's better. For starters, I don't hate this.

Date: 2011-07-23 10:17 pm (UTC)[She looks over at him and smiles.] No, this doesn't suck and yeah...there are a lot of good things about the City. It's hard to explain that to people sometimes. They just see the bad because the bad is huge and the good is usually...smaller.

Date: 2011-07-24 12:13 am (UTC)[He watches her face carefully as they walk.]
Sometimes the good doesn't seem too small.
One day I'll learn grammar and html
Date: 2011-07-24 12:40 am (UTC)[When she notices how carefully he's watching her, she ducks her head a little, trying not to let the smile that tugs at the corners of her lips loose. There's a sixteen year old girl in there somewhere that's a lot less jaded than Lucy currently and that girl is doing a little jump up and down 'he likes me' dance. It's all a little much, in a good way, so to break it up she nudges him with her shoulder.]
Did you just call me one of the big good things? 'Cause that's so cheesy. So sweet but so cheesy.
[She bites the tip of her tongue.] You're lucky I don't mind some cheese.
[Or a lot but admitting that is letting that 16 year old girl have a bit too much control.]

Date: 2011-07-24 01:24 am (UTC)[He laughs a little and wince-smiles. It was pretty cheesy, but being around Lucy kind of does that to him sometimes.]
Lucky, yeah.

Date: 2011-07-24 01:32 am (UTC)I think t-shirts and membership cards are a yes. Also maybe a secret hand shake.

Date: 2011-07-24 04:43 am (UTC)Maybe if it does well enough, we can even manage a secret lair.

Date: 2011-07-24 04:52 am (UTC)[She seems to consider this for a moment, lips pursed to one side and then the other.]
The real question is do we have open membership?

Date: 2011-07-24 06:03 am (UTC)We'll have to come up with a battery of tests. Waking up hung over for a month ought to be a good start.

You do realize it may just be you and me in the super exclusive club hanging out in our bat lair. Sans bats please.
