This time the boy speaks. He bends down to grab a tape, and puts it into the VHS player on the tv in the store.

The feed switches to the screen of the tv just as the video turns on, and there is the same boy, in a badly-made blonde wig, and the same girl in an oddly-cut blue wig, standing awkwardly in the middle of the screen.

Then, whispered,

Someone who is clearly their father pushes a bunch of poorly made cardboard cut-outs with badly drawn faces on them, they are numbered.

A small pause, before he lightly slaps each one of the figures down, in order, one at a time.

The last one nearly hits him, and he jerks back a little, frightened, before he remembers that it poses no actual danger, and smiles.

They turn to each other, start to inch towards giving each other a kiss, draw back, inch, draw back, and then they awkwardly just shake hands, happily.
