Yeah, I know, tell me about it. I mean, I've kinda got a grip on how they think most of the time. But then every so often it's just like- what?

Um, but this isn't so much helpful. There's some basics that you can stick to? Like that girls will over-analyze pretty much everything. You know how guys can say something and just mean the surface? Well- yeah, depending on the mood, girls'll look for hidden meaning. And they don't like blunt-ness, most of the time. They'd rather meander about the issue. Be careful when they're kinda falsely overly friendly to someone, they probably don't like them. And most of the time, if they're ranting to you about their day, they don't want suggestions on how to fix something, unless they ask you explicitly, they just want you to listen.

Also, Knives? Don't go back to her. It's just a bad idea. I mean, I think that you know that already, but. It's not going to get better, and you definitely deserve someone who likes you for yourself, and not who you look like.

Oh, um, well, I kind of- look over certain people in the City? Like, what they do, who they speak to, what they say, sort of thing?

Yeah, that's why I was hesitant to tell you. Uuuugh I always sound like such a stalker, you know? But I'm not doing it on purpose it's just- Well, look, you know the guy that wrote the guide? Not personally, obviously, he left the City a while ago. I spoke to him a few times while he was here, he's a real sweetheart, too.

Anyway. When I spoke to him, he gave me the phrasing of 'personal deity', because I can't describe things for shit, but he's a scientist and it's a pretty apt phrase. So, you know. Not you, but there are certain people in the City that I'm the 'personal deity' of. So I watch over them, see what they do, see who they talk to, hear what they talk about, and generally know a lot of stuff about them.

Yeah? Well, I'm glad that you think so. She's given you the job of being her ex, in order to help herself get over him, while still not giving the idea of him up. The idea of moving forward, while actually staying in place, or moving backwards. I know a girl who's kind of like that, actually. You're only making it worse for the both of you in the long run.
