11.) [audio.]
Okay, yeah, this sucks. I'll admit it, okay? I hate that nobody ever wants to... no, y'know what? Forget people not ever wanting to do anything, people don't even hardly know I'm there unless I say something. It blows and I hate it and I'm... lonely. Okay? I said it, are you all happy now?

[She stops and hands over the laser screwdriver then goes to set up some cans in the alley.]

[He fiddles with the thing, looking to over. It definitely doesn't match with his mental image of a laser gun, but there is something about it that seems inherently powerful.]
no subject
Okay, point and shoot. It's that button on the side.
[She's pretty sure it's not super powerful because Harry wouldn't give her a weapon she could hurt him with but it is powerful enough to hit anything human and a lot of things not human with and hurt them. It should blow the cans away.]

This one here? [He aims, squinting one eye shut, and presses down tentatively.]
no subject
Yup. [She tenses a little anticipating the small explosion that results when he hits the cans.]
no subject
Whoa.

no subject
It's totally fun, right? I never really liked the whole gun thing with the kicking but that doesn't do that.

Have you ever tried shooting this thing at paint cans?

NO! But we should buy some of those too. We can take it all out to the edge of the City and shoot it.

When the City turned into Heaven and Hell. My mom showed up once like that though but it wasn't a projection-ghost thing. More just her voice, calling me over and over like she was lost.
So what's the best thing?
no subject
[He relaxes now, because this is a more pleasant question to think about.]
Most of it's been good actually. People complain about being here but I think it's better. For starters, I don't hate this.
no subject
[She looks over at him and smiles.] No, this doesn't suck and yeah...there are a lot of good things about the City. It's hard to explain that to people sometimes. They just see the bad because the bad is huge and the good is usually...smaller.
