11.) [audio.]

Okay, yeah, this sucks. I'll admit it, okay? I hate that nobody ever wants to... no, y'know what? Forget people not ever wanting to do anything, people don't even hardly know I'm there unless I say something. It blows and I hate it and I'm... lonely. Okay? I said it, are you all happy now?

That definitely sounds pretty awesome. Never had that.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
I'm an awesome cook. I'll make it sometime and you can try it. It's creamed corn but the canned stuff is awful. You have to have it homemade.

[Awkward moment over. It's a good thing.]

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Defintiely a good thing.]

That's amazing. I only know how to make bacon and mug cakes.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Mug cakes? Okay I have no idea what those are. [She heads toward the checkout with the watermelons, assuming Neil will follow with the paint.] And green? Favorite color?

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
It's cake, only you don't hafta use an oven. You microwave it in a coffee mug. Also it's like five ingredients. [He follows after her, laughing slightly at himself. There's a reason Stephen does all the cooking for the two of them.]

Yeah, green's my favourite. 'Cause, uh, 'cause of LoZ, I guess.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
No way. That's awesome. I didn't even know you could make cake in a microwave. [She grew up in a big house with a full time maid who thought the microwave was blasphemous.]

LoZ? You're going to have to explain.

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it is pretty awesome.

Uh, The Legend of Zelda series. They're games. I dunno, I've kinda always played 'em, since I was really little. Kinda stuck with me. [He's not going to go into how much these games actually mean to him, but it might be able to be inferred from his tone.]

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
[She gets it and he's not being judged. She figures it's not that different from watching people play football and obsessing over it. Besides, in a month or so, if she gets her hands on the 2012 season of Alabama football, she won't have any room to talk.]

And what's the green tie in?

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
The main character, the playable character, Link-- it's kinda his colour. He grew up in the Kokiri forest, never knowing he wasn't one of them, and was actually another race from someplace else. Not until he started to grow, 'cause see, the Kokiri stay small their whole lives so then he knew. But even then, when he was cast out, he kept wearing green. The colour of the forest. 'Cause even though his destiny was elsewhere, that was still his home.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
[She reaches over and loops her hand under his arm, resting it on his bicep. She's not sure if she's identifying with Neil or Link right now but either way, she figures it's not a bad reaction.]

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh. Yes. This is good. Lucy keeps sticking around at the parts where most girls seem to flee.]

Maybe I'll show you sometime. 'S more swords and arrows than guns and explosives, but it's good.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Okay but you have to promise not to be disappointed if I'd rather do my nails while you do the swords and arrows thing.

[She's good at that as long as she doesn't realize she's digging a nice, deep, relationship shaped hole she will later have an impossible time getting out of when she panics about the possibility of being tossed out of the relationship shaped hole at a later date.]

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no problem. It's more interesting than it sounds, though, I swear.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
Then I will come watch the little green guy with the arrows and the swords. Is he hot at least? Or do you dress up as him when you play?

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no, he totally is. [Cough. Throat clearing.] Uhmm, I think. Not that I'd know. And I totally did cosplay as him at a con once, but that didn't really come with me to the City.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Well she did ask. The cosplay confession gets a grin out of her.] Were there tights?

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
[He's been getting to be more bold with her, little by little, but he's still kind of regretting admitting to that so easily.] There may have been tights. There is no evidence to prove or disprove anything one way or another.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
[She lets out a squealy laugh, tilting her head back a little. The getting more bold is good. Her best friend in the City was Hardison, king of the geeks.] You are such a liar. Camera phones and internet. There is always evidence.

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
[He winces slightly. this is true.] 'S long as nobody in the City gets a hold of it, I'm in the clear.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Well now I have a life's goal. [She bumps his shoulder teasingly as she says it.]

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, if in the process of trying to dig up dirt on me, you end up finding a way to access the outside world, I'd say not a bad goal.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm good point. Except maybe we can always just look and never have any say.

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, better that than nothing, probably.

[identity profile] mghtbconcussed.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
At least we'd know how our friends were doing which is the only--okay not only but a--sucky part of this place. You can't see what's going on back home. Sure, it'd make you miss them but I bet most people miss home anyway even if they do like it here.

[Once everything is paid for, Lucy starts pushing the cart out the door.]

[identity profile] illgrowoutofit.livejournal.com 2011-08-02 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[He follows her, putting a smiling-scheming face on.]

You could totally charge for it-- give people a glimpse at their home worlds for a fee. At least until the Deities shut you down, which they probably would.
