[The tail end of a distressed yell (read: scream) is heard as the video clicks on. Neil is sitting on his bed, hugging his knees to his chest tightly and staring with apparent horror at the opposite wall of the room.]

[His shoulders are tense, and if one looks closely enough, he appears to be shaking just slightly.]

How long have you been here? S-Stephen didn't mention that you...

[Neil seems to be terrified to move a centimetre from where he is. He gulps and takes a shaky breath, his voice coming out high and pleading.]

Why won't you say anything?!

[But it's clear to anyone watching that there is no one there; Neil is the only person in the room.]

[He squints, thinking back to a memory curse from the not so distant past. He might not have the best memory, but he's pretty sure he remembers a cute, Chinese girl.]

Hey, isn't that Stephen's girlfriend?

Huh? No. Stephen's girlfriend is Julie. Er, was? I don't really know, it's hard to keep up with sometimes.

No, no, no... I think Julie was the bitchy one.

I'm talking about the Chinese kid. The one he went off with after.

[Neil looks confused. This whole thing is giving him a headache.]

No, that's... Stephen's only dated Julie. Since forever.

Sure. Right up until he couldn't get it up for her and started banging that Chinese chick instead.

[Neil is about 90% sure that's impossible. But then he remembers something about Stephen slipping an underage Knives a few beers.
