[The tail end of a distressed yell (read: scream) is heard as the video clicks on. Neil is sitting on his bed, hugging his knees to his chest tightly and staring with apparent horror at the opposite wall of the room.]

H-how did you get in here?

[His shoulders are tense, and if one looks closely enough, he appears to be shaking just slightly.]

How long have you been here? S-Stephen didn't mention that you...

[Neil seems to be terrified to move a centimetre from where he is. He gulps and takes a shaky breath, his voice coming out high and pleading.]

Why won't you say anything?!

[But it's clear to anyone watching that there is no one there; Neil is the only person in the room.]

[Neil watches Stephen walk up next to Knives... and watches his arm go through her. Neil goes seriously wide-eyed.]

That should... not... be possible.

[Stephen waves his arms around a bit to emphasis his point.]

Now back to sleep. Or work, or something.

[Neil relaxes a little, and slides off the bed cautiously from where he's been curled up in the fetal position.]

Did you seriously not notice?

I noticed you locking yourself in your room and smoking a lot more.

I dunno man, I'd been spending a lot of time recording before I left.

[There's a slight twinge of bitterness. But then he remembers the part where Stephen is here now and paying attention to him, and he gets over it pretty quick.]

I dunno, man, a lot of stuff happened. It's-- and okay, this might be a dumb question, but do you think she can hear me right now?

[Another gesture to the wall.]

She follows me. But she doesn't, like, say anything.

Probably not? She's probably just a projection from your memories.

I guess that makes sense. That would explain why she doesn't answer me. It's just... really unnerving, y'know?

I know what you mean, man. Knives was always really good at the creepy stare.

[Neil was thinking more like unnervingly adorable, but... yeah, let's go with that.]
